Open Days

Our public Open Days are typically on selected Sundays or Wednesdays from April to October.

Open Days include opportunities for guided trips into Carrs Mine, access to the mineral and artifacts exhibits, and access to the top of the impressive 300 ft (100m) deep Brewery Shaft.

This schedule may change without notice depending upon weather and volunteers' availabilities:

• Sundays

  • • 9 & 30 April, 28 May, 25 June, 30 July,

    • 13 & 27 August, 24 September, 22 October

• Wednesdays

  • • 12 April, 26 July, 9 & 23 August

You are strongly advised to book our guided mine trips in advance rather than turn up and hope to get a mine trip on the day.
